Digital Fabrication Lab(DFL) at the University of Tokyo, Department of Architecture was founded in 2011 to explore innovative fabrication techniques in Architecture employing digital tools and technologies. Together with the Global 30 Architecture and Urban Design(G30) course led by Yusuke Obuchi, DFL seeks to develop and speculate new knowledge for architecture where the practice of design engages both social constructs and material performance. Lecture series and workshops are organized by DFL to develop an open environment to learn and study about developing innovations.
